Your day will begin by driving the coastal road to Caesarea- the city that Herod the Great dedicated to Caesar Augustus more than 2000 years ago. The new visitors’ center offers a multimedia presentation and a chance to meet figures from the past and ask them questions after hearing their stories. The tour of the archaeological excavations includes Herod’s palace, the theatre, the hippodrome, the deep sea harbor, the Byzantine market, streets, baths and the Crusaders fortifications and moat. Before leaving Caesarea see the impressive aqueduct which supplied plenty of water to ancient Caesarea Maritime.
You’ll then drive to the White City- Tel- Aviv and from your bus you’ll see the Tel Aviv Art Museum and the Habimah National Theatre, visit the Yitzhak Rabin’s memorial, erected on the site of his assassination, before driving down Rothschild Boulevard – the new city’s centerpiece – to admire the Bauhaus buildings that boosted Tel Aviv into the UNESCO heritage hall of fame. Next, you’ll pass Tel-Aviv’s gorgeous seafront for a short walk in the Renovated Old port of the city filled with shops, cafe houses and much more. On the way to Old Jaffa you will have the chance to see all hotel area and sea front.
